In July 2012, the Malaysian Parliament passed the Legal Profession (Amendment) Act 2012.
The Act was gazetted on 20 September 2012.
This new Act has paved the way for foreign law firms and foreign lawyers to practice in Malaysia as set out in the new legislation found here
